Laging Handa!
The famous Boy Scout of the Philippines Quote
Myth and Belief
Some people think that homeschooling kid is just spending their lives in the comfort of their home. But we must change that thinking because homeschooling kids have more time to choose what is the best for their interest, what makes them happy and productive, let them choose what really matter and adjust their priorities but not letting the academic and family time be compromised.
Camping and Investiture
Last weekend we, homeschooling family, gathered and have our first ever camp and investiture event at navadwip farm. With all the efforts of AKDA we are able to reach out to the Boy Scout and Girl Scout of the Philippines that we homeschooling Family exist and we are very much interested to join their organization.
What is Scouting?
But what is Boy Scout and Girl Scout of the Philippines? They are a separate NGO.
“The Boy Scout of the Philippines provides a non-formal education committed to develop morally straight, disciplined, concerned, self-reliant citizens in the best tradition of world scouting. It aims to inculcate among the scouts, the love of God, country and fellowmen.”
” The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) is the national Girl Scouting association for girls and young women in thePhilippines. Its mission is “to help girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, to the nation, and to the world community”. “
What Activities we have during the Camp?

Experience
We have so so fun, why? Because Jaasu, 5 yrs old, was so tired during the event. He is currently in the KID Scout level (Kabataang Iminumulat Diwa). The camping and the almost whole day event drained his energy and the schedule that just let them sleep for 8 hours (with at his age is not enough) let him get sleepy at the event hehe. But I know this event will be getting better and better as we move forward. We are looking forward for scouting activities and collecting badges by doing good deeds.
Specially thanks to AKDA (visit them if you are interested on joining the Boy or Girl Scout of the Phillipines) and GOPALA Learning Haven for the venue.
